Maison Faranheit Lagos Review – All That Glitters Is Not Gold

I had watched this building spring up in the heart of VI and waited patiently for it to begin operations. Before eventually trying this place out, I had heard varying opinions about this place around how expensive it was and all that. This cannot be that bad I thought till I visited and realized that you know what, all that glitters is indeed not gold. This was the case of Maison Fahrenheit (“MF”). Externally, the structure is beautiful and internally from the reception lovely paintings hanging on the walls and lovely lighting making me fall in love. MF is a […]

Where Strangers Meet…

I had always known about a place called ‘Stranger’ in Lekki due to work and leisure but thought it was a boutique of some sort until recently, I discovered it was so much more. My Food tank was low on a particular Sunday and that was how I found out that Stranger was indeed a concept store and café offering clothing and accessories. I had gone to meet up with Lumi who was doing a little project there and had invited me for lunch. Initially I was like ‘Stranger? food? seriously?’  and I raced there to see what was going on. Arrived […]

Lets Take It Local: Amala, Abula and All the La La’s

I have met people who will say something like ‘oh I’d rather go where I eat for cheaper and be fuller’ or ‘I am not really into all this mede mede and I will rather go to the Buka or Mama Putt’.. sounds familiar? Well then, if you know such people or you are one of such, then this post might be of interest to you.  Lagos Island/Marina is gifted with so much food that it is so unfair really to our bodies and work productivity. For a very long time I had been going to this place where I always […]

#FoodieSnaps: Orela Bar & Restaurant

On a random evening (as usual), M and I went to Orela Bar & Restaurant to have dinner. Orela is one of those cozy places that is rarely busy or pretty much empty and this leaves me wondering because the food is really on point! I first heard about this place from a friend of mine and it was just amusing because I had never actually noticed it was there no matter how many times I drove on the road where it is located. Anyways what did we have right? M – BBQ Beef Ribs and Fries

Restaurant Review – Crust and Cream, Lagos

Hello! How was your Valentine’s day/weekend? Lots of food or dry and boring?  Today on FIL, we bring you a review of Crust and Cream (“C&C”) located in Lagos, Nigeria. I first knew about C&C when I took drives on Musa Yaradua Street and had seen the signs about them opening soon. They finally opened and I found them on Instagram and speaking of Instagram, I personally think it is very important to have your restaurants on social media and all. It really helps. Anyways I had pretty much liked all their pictures on Instagram and it was about time […]

#FoodieSnaps: Fusion Restaurant, Lagos

Hi there and a happy new year to you. I wish I could say I had new year resolutions but they do not work for me but one thing I do know is that I do plan to eat a whole lot and bring as much reviews as possible. Todays #FoodieSnaps is on Fusion Restaurant which is a mixture of Japanese and Lebanese cuisine. Visited Fusion on a Friday evening after work for Sushi with some friends. In Lagos, Fusion easily comes tops in ranking for one of the best places for sushi in Lagos and my first experience with Sushi […]

Korean Day, Woo Jung -우 정에서 한인의 날

Hi there! New week new post new foodiventure… lol So Princess of thatreofshunshine put me a social media blast and this post just had to come out asap because I already feel the pressure :). She had hit me up asking if I was down for some Korean food and I’m like ‘Yes please!!!” I had never had Korean food and a lot of times I always wondered what was the difference between Korean food and Chinese food. I mean, they are all of Asian descent right? Whenever I am in any restaurant and I see natives of the type […]

Restaurant Review: Red Lobster, Dubai Mall, UAE

Hello there! Hope you’ve had a chilled weekend. I’ve always wanted to go to Red Lobster (“RL”) but for some reason, something always came up. So this time, I was on a mission not to leave Dubai without having some RL as I’m a big fan of sea food. Again, this was in a mall (Dubai Mall) and the set up was not bad too. Just before the major seating areas was a tank with Lobsters and this really was the catch for me to have live lobsters that I could point and eat!

Restaurant Review: Las Iguanas, Westfield Mall, Stratford, London

Hi guys!! Apologies for FIL being away for a bit. Anyway, FIL is back and hopefully we stay and give you some good reviews on our foodieventures. Currently on holiday and decided to go on a foodieventure after shopping for hours and voila after a random selection, walked right into Las Iguanas. At first I was wondering if I would like the food there and then took a peek at the menu and went for it. Las Iguanas is a mixture of Mexican, Latin and Brazilian I believe as thats the message their menu passes across. Just before the food […]

Restaurant Review: Monsoon Bar & Restaurant, Accra Ghana

Hi there, Apologies for the irregular updates. This post is long overdue! I know the blog is called Foodie in Lagos and this review is for a restaurant in Accra. FIL is Global by the way *insert wink* I and a couple of friends were spending a few days in Accra and decided to have Dinner. Being such a sushi freak, I did my research and suggested Monsoon. This was not an easy find but it worked! It was my second time in Ghana and I had made it a point of duty to go on a foodie exploration. From […]

Restaurant Review: Rhapsody’s Bedfordview, Ikeja

Hi guys, so this is the first post on Foodie in Lagos (“FIL”) and basically just giving my two cents on places I go to eat.  Let’s see how this goes right!!! I will be giving unbiased reviews… Welcome to FIL!!! During the Christmas holidays I was not able to go on my Foodie Patrol and just waited till the New Year. I recently visited the Ikeja City Mall with my friend Moji and I must say, it’s packed with all sorts of restaurants. So I did a random selection and walked into Rhapsody’s. Rhapsody’s is part of the South […]
