Sabor Lagos – The Review

Sabor 14 Adeola Hopewell Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. 0818 894 0000   Sabor is fairly new entrant in the restaurant space in Lagos but the location is not that new. The word ‘Sabor’ is Spanish but its not a Spanish restaurant. The occupant of this space used to be 411 which I visited sometime then and it was just there but was always empty and at some point was DV8 Restaurant and Bar and that died a slow death too. This is above Nitro club which has undergone several name changes since 2003 when it used to be A-Bar (those […]

Brunching at Mansilla

Mansilla Restaurant Restaurant Victoria Island   Mansilla Restaurant, Victoria Island (Closed Down) 6, Musa Yar’Adua Street, off Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos +234 802 458 1351, +234 809 237 4112 So one Sunday, I went to Mansilla Restaurant with my friend – Y to try it out as I never made it here when it was still called “Wott to Eat”. Glanced through the menu which is not so extensive by the way and the proper thing to have was ‘Brunch’. Everyone loves a good brunch and it seems like the perfect Sunday ritual. It had this huge space outside  and a nice […]

#Foodiesnaps: Roadster Burger N Grills

Hey guys,   Apologies for being away.. been having more fun on Instagram and Facebook instead x_x. If you aren’t following FIL on those platforms, you should as something is coming soon and you wouldn’t want to miss it.   Now on to the #FoodieSnap of the day – Roadster Burger N Grills (“RBG”). Found out about this spot through Living in Lekki’s Instagram post and coincidentally I was starving that night and craving some ribs. Her post was too tempting to ignore and I raced down there to see if it was worth it based on the recommendation about checking it […]

Restaurante Di Yakoyo – Stop By and Be Full

Typical work week in Lagos is plagued with traffic and with the recent fuel scarcity; Lagos has been a mad house. I love local food and bukka’s which I am sure is not surprising by now. I’m equally delighted when I discover new spots to share with you guys! Whoop! So that is how I found myself at a place called Yakoyo African Restaurant thanks to my colleague and traffic. If you speak or understand the Yoruba language, the term ‘Yakoyo’ it literally means to ‘stop by and be full’. No jokes and indeed I stopped by and left very full.

Maison Fahrenheit Lagos Review – All That Glitters Is Not Gold

I had watched this building spring up in the heart of VI and waited patiently for it to begin operations. Before eventually trying this place out, I had heard varying opinions about this place around how expensive it was and all that. This cannot be that bad I thought till I visited and realized that you know what, all that glitters is indeed not gold. This was the case of Maison Fahrenheit (“MF”). Externally, the structure is beautiful and internally from the reception lovely paintings hanging on the walls and lovely lighting making me fall in love. MF is a […]

Restaurant Review – Crust and Cream, Lagos

Hello! How was your Valentine’s day/weekend? Lots of food or dry and boring?  Today on FIL, we bring you a review of Crust and Cream (“C&C”) located in Lagos, Nigeria. I first knew about C&C when I took drives on Musa Yaradua Street and had seen the signs about them opening soon. They finally opened and I found them on Instagram and speaking of Instagram, I personally think it is very important to have your restaurants on social media and all. It really helps. Anyways I had pretty much liked all their pictures on Instagram and it was about time […]

Restaurant Review: Rhapsody’s Bedfordview, Ikeja

Hi guys, so this is the first post on Foodie in Lagos (“FIL”) and basically just giving my two cents on places I go to eat.  Let’s see how this goes right!!! I will be giving unbiased reviews… Welcome to FIL!!! During the Christmas holidays I was not able to go on my Foodie Patrol and just waited till the New Year. I recently visited the Ikeja City Mall with my friend Moji and I must say, it’s packed with all sorts of restaurants. So I did a random selection and walked into Rhapsody’s. Rhapsody’s is part of the South […]
