Whats Your Kraving? There is a ‘Diner’ in Town – Kravings Diner

Kravings Diner 21A Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos 07088313837 So it seems this particular address has undergone frequent changes in terms of name of establishment and owner. The location of Kravings Diner is on the floor above Candy Patisserie. This used to be Brass Lamp Restaurant which closed down and  became the Queenz Restaurant, which also closed down sometime in 2017.   Now how did I find this place, through an ad on IG since they just had a formal launch recently and a friend was in town and wanted to meet up so we decided to explore this […]

New Coffee House in Lagos – My Coffee Lagos

My Coffee  Lagos 40B Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island 0811  5888 885     Weekends have become so so busy right now and in a little bit, things will go back to normal. While running errands, spotted this new coffee shop in Victoria Island with its bold sign “My Coffee Coffee House” and went in to grab a sandwich and some hot chocolate.         While I was trying to make a choice on what to buy, I noticed it was just expats/foreigners in the Coffee shop and not too long after it hit me, they were mostly Ukrainians […]

Foodie in Lagos Tales: Nok by Alara

The experience today from a reader is on Nok by Alara. Nok featured in one of the Foodie in Lagos Tales here.   Catch up on previous experiences and see here for background on this column. Foodie in Lagos Tales are independent reviews posted anonymously by individuals who want to share the good, the bad and the ugly.   These posts are undiluted and are not the views of Foodie in Lagos   NOK by Alara   “NOK. It’s not okay to to serve this kind of food. To bring it out cold and in ridiculous portions. I went for ‘after work’ dinner […]

Hard Rock Cafe Lagos

Finally went to Hard Rock Cafe, Lagos (“HRC”) which started operations in December, 2015  on Valentine’s Day and surprisingly even though we did not make a reservation, it was not as busy as we thought and so we did not have to wait in line – Yay. FIL was quite late to the party (2 months late which aint bad) but quite glad that Lagos got its very own Hard Rock Cafe and hopefully this might pave the way for other brands to come here *fingers crossed*. First thought was wow this place is huge with really high ceilings and in looks and all […]

New Menu Food Tasting at La Taverna

Foodie in Lagos was invited to a new menu tasting by La Taverna Restaurant which serves a mix of Italian, Spanish and Chilean dishes. La Taverna is also popular with its Pizza in Lagos. I was sure to go with an empty stomach and when you get to the end, you will see why.   Those on snapchat got the full cover on the experience at La Taverna. You can use the Snapcode here to add us on Snapchat or by the username ‘FoodieinLagos’. I had also tweeted about the new menu tasting so follow on Twitter here not to miss […]

Delis Cafe – Sunday Lunch

Not sure why it has taken me a while to finally visit Delis Cafe but I guess, the best is always saved for last. After Y’s experience, she had mentioned that Deli’s would have offered better steak as she and her husband were regulars after church on Sundays.   This time I could not go with Y, but with a bud of mine – B to have lunch at Delis after Church :). Delis is simply Cafe.Eatery.Winery as read on the menu but its safe to say this place is really a café which is above the Delis grocery store. […]

Brunching at Mansilla

So one Sunday, I went to Mansilla with my friend – Y to try it out as I never made it here when it was still called “Wott to Eat”. Glanced through the menu which is not so extensive by the way and the proper thing to have was ‘Brunch’. Everyone loves a good brunch and it seems like the perfect Sunday ritual. It had this huge space outside  and a nice garden which I liked and seemed obviously built as a proper house before its re-modelling into a restaurant. Y and I ordered the English breakfast but I wanted sunny side […]

Paris Deli Became Sip & Bite

Happy new year guys!!!   Apologies for being MIA… Been so busy on instagram and twitter instead.   A number of new places have opened up in Lagos and hopefully FIL can bring you reviews this year to help you make better choices on where to eat. In case you aren’t familiar with the score system here, do check  here to view the break down of what FIL will be looking out for regarding reviews.   Over the weekend, my friend and I went to what is now known as Sip & Bite. This place used to be called Paris Deli which was […]

Smokey Bones Review

One of my followers on Instagram and another on Twitter had suggested I visited Smokey Bones (“SB”). SB has been around since last year but had a proper launch  in April 2015 according to one of their staff but I only just knew about it few months ago thanks to followers of the blog – Shoutout to our lovely readers! I had seen some web flyers and stumbled on their website. The pictures looked mouth – watering and food looked very sticky just how I like it sometimes. Lol. Went to SB on a Friday evening after work hoping to […]
