I know it is 2024, but I’ve got more Amala spots to try. You guys suggested I stop by this popular Amala spot in Ojota and I did just that. The space was very clean and well maintained and the staff were extremely friendly. The Amala was perfectly whipped, smooth, and soft. The gbegiri, ewedu, and stew complemented each other equally, and the beef was incredibly tender. The Abula was a banga! I loved every bit of it.

The staff were cheerful and welcoming but we all know friendly staff at amala spots means something is about to be off. The space was neat and spacious. The Amala here was a bit lumpy, the ewedu and gbegiri had no flavor, the meat also lacked flavor. Honestly, the only thing that redeemed this spot was the stew. This spot wasn’t the best like you guys said and I didn’t enjoy the meal.

The space had a really weird smell, customer service was terrible and no, this time it didn’t mean the amala banged .The Amala was lumpy, everything else had absolutely no flavor. The stew had a sour taste, and everything on my plate was cold. I would rate this as one of the worst Amala spots on the mainland.

Then I stopped by this spot in Surulere to try out their amala. The staff were cheerful and friendly and it made me wonder if the Amala would hit the spot- well, it did. The Amala was soft and smooth, everything on my plate was tasty! I only wish the stew had a little bit more spice in it. (but that could just be my preference). I just might just visit again.

That’s almost about it on Abula Spots in Lagos. Which Amala Spot should I visit next?
