I know it is 2024, but I’ve got more Amala spots to try. Now, most of you asked me to stop by at Mama Balikis to try out their Amala. Well, I decided to give it a try and it wasn’t hard to locate cause apparently, she’s well known in the area. It was a nice and clean space. I got a plate of Amala, Ewedu, Gbegiri, Stew, and Assorted Meat. The amala was lump free and smooth, I loved it. The Ewedu and Gbegiri looked really good. The stew was nice and the assorted meat was tasty. Together with the Ewedu and Gbegiri, it was a delicious meal.

I tried White House at Sabo next. Sadly, the abula here didn’t hit like it used to. The ewedu had loads of egusi in it, a bit too much in my opinion. However, the amala was well done and smooth. The meat was tasty as well, I really wish it was good as old.

While still on the hunt for the best Amala in Lagos, I found a hidden amala spot on the mainland around Oshosi called Mulika. They had only a few meals ready when I got there but I had my eyes on amala and got amala, ewedu, assorted meat and beef, I was set to dive in. The Amala was good, it had a smooth texture with no lumps. The stew was tasty but was missing that spicy kick which didn’t do justice to the meal at all. The Beef was soft but salty. The assorted meat wasn’t hitting right, it was too bitter for comfort. Maybe if they had gbegiri, it would have complimented the meal a little bit more.

That’s almost about it on Amala Spots in Lagos. Which Amala Spot should I visit next?
