This new 24 hours spot on the island opened up and I just had to stop by. The ambience is welcoming and simple, quite a serene space.
MEAL
They had lots of options that you would find in any regular eatery including salads and sandwiches. I had the Firewood Jollof Rice and Peppered Chicken. At least that was what I asked for, but I got firewood jollof that was not smoky and the peppered chicken wasn’t spicy, they probably need to work on naming their meals correctly because it would be wrong to always have a case of what I ordered vs what I got (unsatisfied edition). The jollof rice although not firewood or smoky, was savory and satisfying. The texture was just right – not too mushy or too dry – with a pleasant chewiness. The portion of the rice was fair. My favorite part of the meal was the peppered chicken, although not spicy, it was coated in a sticky and flavorful sauce. The chicken was moist, tender and juicy. It was a fair experience.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
I might not be back, there are several order places I could visit in place of this spot. Not to say it is bad, it just wasn’t the best.
