Exciting Places to Dine with Kids in Lagos this Summer

Back in the day, summer in Nigeria meant attending ‘summer lessons’ and visit to Mr Biggs for a treat. Mr Biggs was the main go-to restaurants during holidays. But now, times have changed. We now have several restaurants in Lagos where you can visit and have a fun time with your kids. Though most spots in Lagos don’t have menu specialized for kids (I don’t know why), a few places have this family-friendly environment and half bread they say is better than none.

So as to enjoy this summer with your kids, we’ve filtered out some kid-friendly restaurants in Lagos that are worth visiting.

• HARD ROCK CAFE
  Location: Landmark Village, Water Cooperation, Oniru, VI
  Claiming the top spot on the list is Hard Rock Cafe. Though it seems like an adults-only restaurants due to the party vibe it gives, it is also a perfect place to hangout with the kids, as they have a beachfront with cabana where a family can have an amazing time. They also have children’s playground suitable for kids to play, and to top it all, they have kids menu.

• HANS AND RENE
  Location: 1a Ozumba Mbadiwe Ave, Victoria Island.
  This is lowkey the second best spot to dine with children in Lagos. Not only do they offer delicious cakes and ice cream that will make your little ones’ taste buds dance with joy, but they also happen to be one of the top ice cream spots in all of Lagos.

• THE GARDEN
  Location: 8 Bayo Kuku Rd, Ikoyi, Lagos.
  Apart from its charming and peaceful ambiance, which makes it an ideal place for a romantic proposal, this location is also incredibly children-friendly and a wonderful spot to take the kids. What I personally adore about this place is the lush green surroundings that create a refreshing and relaxing environment. I absolutely love it!

• CILANTRO
  Location: 7 Musa Yar’ Adua St, Victoria Island
  Here’s another exciting destination to spend quality time with your family and create lasting memories this summer. The charming scenery is simply beautiful and rejuvenating, adding to the overall charm of the place. My favorite dish on their menu is the chicken suya pizza.

• RUFUS AND BEE
  Location: Twin waters Entertainment Centre, Okunde Bluewater Scheme, Lekki Phase I.
  This place is like a fun-filled wonderland, absolutely perfect for enjoyable family hangouts. Looking for a spot where your kids can play to their heart’s content for hours? Look no further, this is the place to be! Notably, they stand out as one of the few restaurants that offer a thoughtfully curated menu suitable for both adults and children.

  Location: 12 Ibiyinka Olurunbe Close, Bishop Oluwole VI, Lagos.
  If you love authentic Italian cuisine, this is the ultimate spot to satisfy your cravings.
