Hard Rock Café Lagos has a new limited menu which they have called ‘Infused with Love – the Encore’

Its funny that I have been to Hard Rock alot of times and somehow the reviews did not go up out of sheer laziness and the last post we had on Hard Rock Cafe Lagos was in 2016 – ah a lot of changes and things have happened. However, you would see more of our Hard Rock Lagos posts on our Instagram page so check them out.

Basically the meals & drinks in the Hard Rock Lagos menu are all infused with Spirits, Beer and Love. I’m sure you may be wondering why Love is not being celebrated in February but to Hard Rock, love can celebrated any time.

The Hard Rock Lagos Infused with Love menu has 7 items – A starter, a dessert and 5 main options to choose from. See menu for food here and drinks here. Full options below for meals:

1. Mezcal Shrimp Ceviche (Starter)
2. Margarita Chicken Quesadilla
3. Mojo marinated Steak
4. Bourbon Infused BBQ Shrimp
5. Rum Marinated Chicken Skewers
6. Bordeaux Burger; and
7. Banana Foster Sundae (Dessert)

For the drinks, diners have 4 options to choose from:

1. Rock you like a Hurricane
2. Blackberry Sparkling Sangria
3. Espresso Martini; and
4. Cookies & Cream Shake

Tosin from the Ministry of Enjoyment joined me for lunch and we chose two (2) meals and two (2) drinks to try out.

MEALS

Mojo Marinated Steak: I did not feel like Chicken so the Steak option was more appealing to me.  This was the Grilled Steak with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes with a rum infused mojo sauce (which looked and tasted like a boozy pesto). This is served with Coconut Rice

The Steak was medium well which is really the best way to have steak and not too overcooked so you can taste all the flavours

Thoughts: The portion is quite filling and the steak was quite tasty but the Rice tasted somewhat dry but the Mojo sauce came in handy here.

Rum Marinated Chicken Skewers: Tosin had this since I was doing beef (lol). This was really good as well and no complaints here. I think it is also value for money at Hard Rock Lagos.

It was a busy afternoon but the service was quite quick

When it comes to selection of drinks, I’m usually very conservative and make obvious choices but Tosin likes dramatic! You can guess what I had….Yup! if you guessed Blackberry Sangria, you are correct and of course Tosin went with the Cookies & Cream Shake. Till now I am not sure if he was able to stay awake because it was a really big glass

They both were perfection and the shake was sinful with very chocolatey brownie pieces
