It is that jolly time of the year again, nobody should be left out of having fun. As a foodie, you should do something different, things that really jingles the bells. If you are wondering what those things are, we made a list of some.
Try a new recipe- You probably weren’t expecting this suggestion, but we recommend that you try this. It is fun and makes you reflect, new things are always fun. Try a new recipe for your favorite meal this festive season. If you used to use milk and curry for your pasta, try cheese and chicken-flavored stock cubes.
Bake something- Did you have that in mind? You should bake something this Christmas. Our recommendations are banana bread, chocolate or marble cakes, cookies with some Christmas frosting, etc.
Be a Food Santa- We came up with that. Spread the Christmas spirit by sharing some goodies; there are many meals you can make. You could even give out some raw food to the neighbors or some cookies and sweets to the kids in the street. Just be a Food Santa.
Try out a new restaurant- Yes, this is another way to enjoy Christmas as a foodie. Try a new restaurant; it could be newly opened, your old favorite restaurant, or some place that reminds you of your childhood.
Shop for new dishes and cutleries- This might be the sign you need to pull out your card and do some shopping from Amazon, Konga, or Jumia. Gift yourself something, it could be that dish or spoon collection you’ve always wanted. Do it.
Take someone out- What other way to end the year than to initiate someone into the Foodie’s Club? Buy them a Christmas cap and lunch or dinner. You could even give the waiter a kind note to come with the meal. That way, you’ve spread love and food.
Gift a Chef/Cook something special- You can make someone’s year by doing this. Gift a random chef something nice. Our recommendation is a knife set with a sweet note and a bottle of wine. There are more gift ideas worth exploring. Let’s do this, Foodie.
That’s our recommendation on what a Foodie should do this Christmas. Tell us which ones you would be doing in the comment.
Merry Christmas in Advance from FoodieinLagos
