People argue that any food is food, mostly Lagosians. Honestly, it is not all their fault because the street of Lagos serves you rice, pasta, pizza, bread, and a red jam doughnut. Food or junk like this would make you conclude that any food is food, but you know, food is something other than these meals you’ve been having. We’ve said before that food is a source of nutrients, energy, and a consumable product that aids your emotions. So, if you eat good food, you will be in good shape and spirit. But eat just anything, and watch yourself be anything- that’s not even a threat.
Let’s get to today’s business, which is why you should eat appropriately and how. This article highlights the benefit of food and what food is more suitable for helping you grow well. Read and enjoy. P.S we can hear your undertone “FoodieinLagos and diet wahala”.
WHY?
Healthy and good meals enable you to be strong, energetic, and active in your day-to-day activities and commitments. It also contributes to your well-being; mentally, physically, and emotionally. When you eat food, you function. When you eat healthy, proper meals, you function even better. Pin this; it is a goal you should look to attain, eating good, healthy meals. Yes, we are emphasizing this purposely; we are allowed to. It is Healthy January with FoodieinLagos.
HOW?
It is interesting how healthy eating isn’t the hardest thing in the world, but it is a practice that takes commitment, and to be honest, some finances. It is a bit of a luxury that would eventually be worth it. To eat healthy, you need to get conversant with your fruits, seasonings and spices, vegetables, grains, etc. You need to love your kitchen, you probably hate to hear that, but that’s the truth. Because street and fast food might not always provide you with meals with great nutrients, you need to explore and try new, healthy recipes.
You have to be willing to invest in bottles and machines; you have to. All that means is you have to carry around water bottles for water or smoothies, get little blenders or smoothie machines, and other kitchen equipment that makes the journey easier.
Remember to practice hygiene, and be accountable.
Enjoy the process. That’s our parting word for Healthy January; as you maintain the lifestyle, don’t forget to love it as you live it.
