Meat pie for Fuel at Total Energies

Hello Foodies, you would think people exaggerate Nigeria’s problems until you experience one of the drama.

Imagine being asked to buy meat pie before you can get fuel, pull out your reasoning card and imagine that. Can you place it?

Don’t stress it, it happened in Nigeria. This country has clowns and people who need therapy, yes, it’s not negotiable. Anyone who asks you to buy meat pie before getting fuel needs therapy.

You know what the worse part is? You have to pay for the fuel. Like the fuel isn’t free, neither is the meat pie (stating that again).

Thinking of it again, the Meat Pie is not a complimentary snack for getting fuel. For goodness sake, buying meat pie doesn’t even mean you get to skip the line, you don’t get any special treatment, you don’t even get to be the customer of the day.

It just gives you access to “getting the fuel” (not even at regular pipe price), but the exaggerated cost that fueling stations have been selling.

I hate to make a joke out of this because it’s disheartening, it’s also very extreme. Imagine being upset that fuel per litre price has increased, and you drive to the fueling station only to be told to buy some pastries before getting fuel even with the crazy crowd and unbearable heat.

This happened at Total Energies, a little bit of dark humor- the man in the video literally said “this is TOTAL rubbish”, and I cannot agree less.
