To think that I’ve been passing this spot for a while and didn’t stop to try their meal, I have been missing out. Bole and Fish is a cute kiosk space located at Admiralty Way, Lekki. They serve bole, potatoes, with stew, and customers preferred protein. I absolutely love this spot and the uniqueness.
MEAL
Review time, I finally stopped by at Bole and Fish Lagos for a quick grab. They have different combos on their menu but I got the “Mini Kote, Bole and potatoes combo. I didn’t want potatoes so I was given a full plantain. Apparently, it would have been half plantain if potatoes were added. The plantain was ripe, well roasted and tasty. I loved the flavor of the stew. The fish was quite big and properly seasoned.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
The food was great and definitely worth it! The staff were very nice and interactive. The wait time wasn’t long as the stew was already made. The plantain was ready made, it was just pre-heated for a few minutes, same as the fish. It would have been really nice if they added all sort of veggies like ugwu, onions, ugba (African oil bean seed) to give it a more sophisticated taste. Anyways, I’m glad I was finally able to visit this spot.
