Brunching at Mansilla

Mansilla Restaurant Restaurant Victoria Island   Mansilla Restaurant, Victoria Island (Closed Down) 6, Musa Yar’Adua Street, off Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos +234 802 458 1351, +234 809 237 4112 So one Sunday, I went to Mansilla Restaurant with my friend – Y to try it out as I never made it here when it was still called “Wott to Eat”. Glanced through the menu which is not so extensive by the way and the proper thing to have was ‘Brunch’. Everyone loves a good brunch and it seems like the perfect Sunday ritual. It had this huge space outside  and a nice […]

#FoodieSnaps: Casa D’Lydia

Hey Guys!!! Meet Kehinde of Bonita Valli as she gives us her quick review of Casa D’Lydia ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥   Last Saturday, I was meeting the BF’s sister for lunch. She’s lived out of Nigeria for a while and we’d only just really met, so I decided I’d take her somewhere I felt comfortable, but also somewhere she’d feel at home and welcome. The Casa D’Lydia Bistro was the obvious choice. Keep reading and I’ll tell you why…

Smokey Bones Review

One of my followers on Instagram and another on Twitter had suggested I visited Smokey Bones (“SB”). SB has been around since last year but had a proper launch  in April 2015 according to one of their staff but I only just knew about it few months ago thanks to followers of the blog – Shoutout to our lovely readers! I had seen some web flyers and stumbled on their website. The pictures looked mouth – watering and food looked very sticky just how I like it sometimes. Lol. Went to SB on a Friday evening after work hoping to […]

Restaurante Di Yakoyo – Stop By and Be Full

Typical work week in Lagos is plagued with traffic and with the recent fuel scarcity; Lagos has been a mad house. I love local food and bukka’s which I am sure is not surprising by now. I’m equally delighted when I discover new spots to share with you guys! Whoop! So that is how I found myself at a place called Yakoyo African Restaurant thanks to my colleague and traffic. If you speak or understand the Yoruba language, the term ‘Yakoyo’ it literally means to ‘stop by and be full’. No jokes and indeed I stopped by and left very full.

Maison Faranheit Lagos Review – All That Glitters Is Not Gold

I had watched this building spring up in the heart of VI and waited patiently for it to begin operations. Before eventually trying this place out, I had heard varying opinions about this place around how expensive it was and all that. This cannot be that bad I thought till I visited and realized that you know what, all that glitters is indeed not gold. This was the case of Maison Fahrenheit (“MF”). Externally, the structure is beautiful and internally from the reception lovely paintings hanging on the walls and lovely lighting making me fall in love. MF is a […]
