What Cutlery Should I Use?
Every cutlery serves its purpose on the dinner table. While it is easy to grab whatever plate and use, it is important to know what each cutlery is meant for. We have outlined some cutlery and the purpose they serve on the list below, so you don’t have to use everything without a guide.
Coffee/ Ice-cream spoon- This spoon is used for stirring coffee or taking ice cream. The handle is a bit longer than the normal teaspoon handle and it’s tinier, in case you find it on your dining table, use it appropriately.
Ice-cream Scoop- The ice cream scoop is used for taking ice cream from the ice cream container to the bowl you would be licking from. Always remember.

Big Teaspoon- This version of the teaspoon can pass as an eating spoon or measurement spoon when cooking in your home. It is intended for stirring tea.

Small Teaspoon- Similar to the coffee spoon, but shorter in length. This small teaspoon is used for stirring tea. Most Nigerians use it to apply salt to their food.

Soup Spoon and Bowl- This is used for soups, chicken & corn soups, pepper soup, etc. The Nigerian version is a bit wilder. Be on the lookout for it at the dining table.

Dinner Spoon, Knife, and Fork- These are the proper cutlery needed to eat your rice, meat, spaghetti, etc.

Dessert Spoon, Knife, and Fork- The cutlery are similar to the dinner set but smaller. As the name implies, they are best used for desserts.

Cake Fork- This fork is designed for cakes. The truth is cake taste better when this fork is used. Try using it on your next food adventure to get the conviction.
