Food-ish Activities to do with your girlfriend on National Girlfriends Day

National Girlfriend Day is a special occasion to celebrate the bond of friendship you share with that special person, whether lover or best friend. Just in case you a ‘single-pringu’ like me, hang out with your best friend and celebrate today with them, as today is not just about romantic interests.

• Breakfast in Bed
  Start your girlfriend’s day on a perfect note by surprising her with breakfast in bed! Prepare her favorite morning treats. It could be fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, or a fresh fruit salad. Add a cute little note or a flower on the tray to show how much she means to you. There’s nothing more heartwarming than waking up to a nicely prepared breakfast served with cute note by your favorite person.

• Picnic in the Park
  Last year, my bestie planned this cute picnic for National Girlfriends Day at Lekki Conservation Park, and it was one of the sweetest things ever! You could try this with your girlfriend.
  Pack a basket full of snacks, beverages, condiments, and a bottle of bubbly. Head to a beautiful park with a cozy blanket, and voila – you’ve got the recipe for a relaxing date! Make sure to check the weather forecast to avoid stories that touch.

• Food Game
  If you are dating an introvert who doesn’t fancy going out, food game is an interesting activity you could try out on National Girlfriends Day. Ice cream eating contest is my favorite food game! To play this game, set up two bowls of ice cream with different toppings, set a timer, Whoever finishes first is the winner.
  If she’s a smarty-pants, play Food Charade. Write down different food items or dishes on small cards. Take turns acting them out without using any words, and see if your partner can guess what you’re trying to convey.
  These games can be played amongst friends too. 

• Brunch Date
  Some people don’t fancy eating very early in the morning. This is where brunch date comes in!
  Head to a charming café that serves a lip-smacking brunch menu. Check here to see the best spots for a café date in Lagos. Order a couple of different dishes to share and take nice pictures for memories sake. Bunch date is an opportunity to create lasting memories and strengthen your bond.
