Nobs and Berries is a breakfast/pastry restaurant that recently opened in Lekki Phase 1. It is situated within a commercial property with container housing, personally, I feel container housings tend be hot during the day, this could be the case for this restaurant on some days.

Nobs and Berries also has a rooftop with a picturesque aesthetic which I feel is ideal for evenings.

DESSERT & DRINKS

Crème Brûlée

Most of the things we would have preferred were not available from the dessert options on their menu. So, we ordered the crème Brulee and from the face of it, it actually looked spoilt or the dessert chef did not know what was going on. It was not fresh, it was also rock hard and I wondered if it was meant to be dessert or cement. It also appeared not to have been torched and there was a solidified layer of sugar that just sank right in. See the video here because there is no other way to explain how bad this was.

Chocolate Mousse

Nothing was White Chocolatey about this order, I think the menu was a typo. This was not bad, but was not great either- had an aftertaste I really couldn’t place. We couldn’t finish it.

Pink Berry

It was meant to be a cocktail, but it tasted more like a mocktail. It was so sweet and wasn’t worth the price. It was just alright – if you like very sweet drinks, this is for you, or stick with your regular soda.

Aloha Breeze

We did not see this on the menu, but the gentleman who waited on us said it was a signature drink. Two sips of this and we didn’t feel any signature, we were ‘signed out’.

Overall experience is a 3/10. I am not sure I would be back so soon but will be happy to go back once things have improved. The dessert menu definitely needs some refining and fine-tuning.
