Amber Lagos (Oregun, Lagos)

Amber Lagos is a casual dining space that serves Nigerian and intercontinental dishes. It is situated in White Event center in Oregun. The space has a dark aesthetic with gold and black chairs, really suitable for a casual night-out. I had a good food adventure here.
The staff were very welcoming, I think that’s a good skill you would rarely find in restaurants these days.
MAIN
I ordered the Tilapia fish with salsa sauce and Jollof rice. The Tilapia was supposed to be the star of the dish here, but they didn’t have Tilapia, so they substituted it with Croaker fish. The Croaker fish was fried and topped with what they described as salsa sauce, which to me was just stew with bell pepper strips. The fish was crispy on the outside and well-seasoned inside. The Jollof rice was just okay, it had a sparse amount of mixed vegetables in it. I got a faint hint of the tomato puree as it wasn’t thoroughly cooked, but the seasoning was good. It is a 7/10 for me.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
Overall experience for me is a 6/10. I liked the calm welcome from their staff, I definitely would visit again to try other things on their menu.
