When you see Yaba on our blog at this point, I think the first thing that comes to mind is ‘cheap eats’ right? Anyway, as usual, we are here to share with you another cheap eats we just discovered in Yaba. The name of this spot is Xcellentliwell. Was our experience good or bad? Read on!
We decided to have lunch at Xcellentliwell last week, a grab-and-go spot in the Tejuosho Shopping Complex, right next to Zenith Bank in Yaba, Lagos. One thing to keep in mind is that there’s no parking because it’s inside the market.
MEAL
For our meal, our only choice was fried yam and grilled turkey, so we gave it a try. To be honest, the meal was just okay. The sauce wasn’t anything special, and the turkey was a bit small and slightly burnt. However, if you’re in a hurry and on a budget, Xcellentliwell is a good option. They have more items on their menu, although they weren’t available at the time we went. The best part was the friendly and polite staff; they were really nice and helpful.
Xcellentliwell is mainly for people who want a quick meal, but they also have a place outside where you can sit and eat. Someone like me who doesn’t like to eat in an open space would rather take it home.

Overall, our experience was a 5 out of 10. The place is simple and practical, meant for people who want to grab food on the go, with a spot to sit and wait if you need it.
