I’ve had this place on my radar for quite some time now so I thought to finally make out time to check it. The ambiance is screaming 90s. I really love what they did with their space. There are those olden days posters you would see at barbing/hair dressing saloons. Their space strikes this nostalgic and warm feeling. It is also quiet and no one would even think to look for a restaurant there – it is located in a residential premises. The background songs were also from the 90s, so everything really just blended.
MEAL
They have a wide menu, but they are well known for their fish menu. Following the crowd, I ordered a Jar of palmwine to begin with. The palmwine tasted fresh. For food, I got Garri and Banga soup with Catfish. This meal was extremely delicious! The Banga soup was well seasoned although it was a bit watery as opposed to being thick. I’ve always known banga soup to be thick, but this one banged anyways. The fish was well seasoned and hugeee. I was impressed.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
I had a swell time and enjoyed my meal. When I walked in, I was welcomed in a unique way – with some 90s instruments. The staff were friendly, great at keeping conversations and was always ready to answer all the questions I threw at them. This place is worth checking out and dinning in.
