Food is life; you know that’s the motto for FoodieinLagos. I recently ate out at Okada Cafe by Bistros and Dives at Sol by Boxmall with some foodies. It was a great experience. The ambience was pretty chilled; you would expect that as a box (container), it would be hot, but it was really cool indoors. They had tiny inscriptions on the wall and little boards that were placed on the tables.
MEAL
We ordered three types of puff-puff.
The classic, ginger, and peppery flavour. The classic puff puff was really yummy. It had the perfect balance of flavours and was so fluffy. If there’s anything you should try on their menu, it is definitely the puff puff. The peppered puff puff was also nice. The pepper wasn’t overpowering, and we loved that. The ginger puff puff was extra good. We weren’t expecting ginger to pair so well with puff puff. We don’t know how the chef did it, but she did so well. The puff puffs were the bomb.

DRINK
We tried the Zobo Milkshake. We had high hopes for this, but we were slightly disappointed. It is nice, but it would be way better if the ice cream used was switched to a better one. The Zobo base was strong, so the milkshake didn’t get to shine at all.
Frappuccino – The coffee base was quite strong, and the cream was bland. It could be better.
Mint Leaf Cooler – This cooler is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to add calories while drinking. It had the traditional mint leaves and flavor. It was real plain mint tea.
The chocolate ice cream was good. The vanilla wasn’t. It tasted like ice and vanilla syrup.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
It was an 8/10 for us. The customer service delivery was great. The staff were welcoming, accommodating and jovial. They also asked for feedback, and we shared our thoughts with them. We will definitely go back for the puff-puff – it’s legendary!
