I recently visited The Eatery, a nice spot for quick and affordable eats in Lekki phase 1. The Eatery, Lekki serves different varieties of food and it is a simple, yet nice space located in a plaza that has ample parking space.
The space is cute, and I love the tiny inscriptions on some parts of the wall.
MEAL
The fooooood! I had Jollof rice, diced-fried plantain, and beef. The Jollof rice was smoky, tasty and the star of the meal. It tasted just like owambe/party Jollof rice and the portion was quite huge. The plantains weren’t too soft or unripe, they were perfect. The beef was tender and was properly seasoned. I enjoyed my meal and cleared my plate in few minutes.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
It was very easy to locate and their space is nice and serene. It would really be nice for a solo outing and even a date. The staff are well trained, nice and had a smile on their faces. I didn’t like that the restaurant didn’t have a physical menu or a barcode you can scan to see their menu. When I went to their Instagram page to check their menu, they informed me that those were the old prices. They really need to do something about getting their menu updated. However, I’ll definitely be visiting again and this time, I’ll be trying out their village rice.
