Pondicheri Restaurant (Ilupeju) 2, Folayemi Street, Ilupeju | 09068008000 | Instagram Remember our restaurant jaunt of ₦20,000 budget for two experiment? Well, this is the mainland edition, at Pondicheri Restaurant. I spent a little extra because I wanted some ice cream. You can’t blame me for that; It’s ice cream! 😁 In case you missed it, read the island edition here. Have you ever visited a restaurant and from the entrance you’re like “Nah, I want to go somewhere else“? That’s how I felt when I got to Pondicheri Restaurant. I arrived a few minutes after their 11:00 am opening […]
7th Continent a La Carte by Mega Chicken Lateef Jakande Road | 0906 777 9460 If you were asked to name the top 10 fast-food restaurants in Lagos, Mega Chicken would be on that list. But, does this restaurant only serve the regular “after Sunday service” food or is there more to it? Mega Chicken seems to have more in store for Lagosians than an affordable plate of Jollof rice and an oversized piece of chicken. The restaurant also hosts guests to an affordable tongue soaring trip to China. Say hello to “7th Continent a La Carte”, the Chinese meal […]
Rhodes BBQ Smokehouse 29, Oyeleke Street, Oregun, Ikeja ⎥ 0818 900 5522 We visited yet another mainland restaurant for a review, this time in Ikeja. Rhodes BBQ Smokehouse is a fast-casual spot that sells American style barbecue ribs. It’s easy to find, but can easily be missed. Rhodes BBQ Smokehouse is very conscious safety-wise when it comes to COVID-19. There was a security guard at the entrance checking temperatures and making sure that everyone who goes in is wearing a mask, washes their hands and uses a sanitiser. I particularly liked that. I wouldn’t say that there’s […]
Typical work week in Lagos is plagued with traffic and with the recent fuel scarcity; Lagos has been a mad house. I love local food and bukka’s which I am sure is not surprising by now. I’m equally delighted when I discover new spots to share with you guys! Whoop! So that is how I found myself at a place called Yakoyo African Restaurant thanks to my colleague and traffic. If you speak or understand the Yoruba language, the term ‘Yakoyo’ it literally means to ‘stop by and be full’. No jokes and indeed I stopped by and left very full.
Hi guys, so this is the first post on Foodie in Lagos (“FIL”) and basically just giving my two cents on places I go to eat. Let’s see how this goes right!!! I will be giving unbiased reviews… Welcome to FIL!!! During the Christmas holidays I was not able to go on my Foodie Patrol and just waited till the New Year. I recently visited the Ikeja City Mall with my friend Moji and I must say, it’s packed with all sorts of restaurants. So I did a random selection and walked into Rhapsody’s. Rhapsody’s is part of the South […]
