Top Amala Spots in Lagos

There are so many good amala spots in Lagos and I’m here to uncover them all for you to enjoy. I visited @amala_hajia for some Abula and I’m glad to say I didn’t regret it at all. The amala was soft and smooth. The scoop was also quite big as compared to some amala spots I’ve visited in the past. The stew was very tasty and elevated the whole meal. Both the goat meat and assorted meat were well cooked. Amala Hajia you are doing well!

My amala avengers, I finally made time to stop by this Amala Canada you all have been recommending for the longest and to be honest, they didn’t disappoint. The amala was succulent and the assorted meat were well seasoned. Downing it with Fanta was a show closer.

As you might know, I’ve visited several Amoke Oge branches in Lagos and only one branch has actually impressed me. The hype about this their Surulere branch was something else and I had so much expectations. Here’s how my visit went; the ventilation at this spot was poor so the space was really hot. I had three portions of Amala – the texture wasn’t great and the portion was small. The Ewedu had bits of egusi in it which I must say is not my favorite. The stew was mid and had no flavor. The proteins were soft but not tasty. The Abula as a whole was average and not inviting to be honest. You guys, I’m not doing again. I’ll give you all another chance.
