Catch up on previous experiences and see here for background on this column 🙂 Crust and Cream “So last Sunday I went to Crust & Cream for dinner and decided to try their Pasta Chicken Carbonara instead of my usual (Spaghetti Bolognese). The environment was very cosy and comfortable and the waiter was very attentive. Not sure why it has taken me a while to finally visit Delis Cafe but I guess, the best is always saved for last. After Y’s experience, she had mentioned that Deli’s would have offered better steak as she and her husband were regulars after church on Sundays. This time I could not go with Y, but with a bud of mine – B to have lunch at Delis after Church :). BLD by Play Lekki (Closed Down) 15A Admiralty Way, Lekki Over the weekend, after a lot of personal errands to run, Y and I decided to try out BLD by Play in Lekki as we had never been there before and I often get asked if I had tried it out. BLD by Play is hard to miss once you get into Admiralty Road in Lekki 1 due to its big structure which is very visible especially on the busiest road in Lekki. The salad I ordered was bad. Looked dry, had a funny smell like it had been in a fridge that wasn’t cooling well since Friday and today is Monday. Had a few bites & now my tummy is rumbling. Shrove Tuesday is usually the day before Ash Wednesday which is the beginning of Lent and somehow somehow got tagged as Pancake Day. I always wondered why this was called so until I read that the English tradition of eating pancakes on Shrove Tuesday came about as a way to use as much milk, fats, and eggs as possible before Ash Wednesday….
