New Restaurants in Lagos

Lagos Restaurant Scene is Popping: New Restaurants 2021 to try in Lagos

Despite the challenges, new restaurants in Lagos opened up. The dining scene in Lagos has been bursting with goodness these past few years and 2020, despite its many setbacks, was not left out.  Before the rapid spread of the coronavirus and the subsequent lockdown that affected restaurants and dining spaces, a couple of restaurants like Turaka and Radish Lagos were opened but didn’t really have the chance to spread their wings and take off before the lockdown began in late March.  After the lockdown was lifted, new restaurants had the opportunity to re-launch and were open for dine-in at a […]

Orchid Bistro Opens Up in Ikoyi

The Orchid Bistro Express 40B Raymond Njoku Street, Ikoyi, Lagos 0808  4568 824     One of Ikeja’s favorites – Orchid Bistro has opened up in Ikoyi and is called The Orchid Bistro Express. It shares the same space with an interior design company which I had first mistaken to be the Bistro. How we ended up at this place on Sunday was because we were looking for where to have ‘affordable’ breakfast as the usual suspects didn’t make sense price-wise.   The space is so pretty, clean and has natural lighting beautifully illuminating the Bistro. The simple and minimalist décor […]

A Trip to Freshly Ground Coffee Co.

The Freshly Ground Coffee Co. 17B Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos 0802 208 8021, 0809 0977 913   Happy new month guys! Sorry for being MIA but we back! You can connect with us via Instagram which is always live so follow on there if you aren’t. It seems Awolowo road in Ikoyi seems to have some hidden and not so hidden spots and accidentally stumbled upon The Freshly Ground Coffee Co.       At first glance, it looks like an abandoned building with loads of space or more like a ghost town with minor construction work ongoing. The major building has […]

She’s lived out of Nigeria for a while and we’d only just really met, so I decided I’d take her somewhere I felt comfortable, but also somewhere she’d feel at home and welcome. The Casa D’Lydia Bistro was the obvious choice. Keep reading and I’ll tell you why…

#FoodieSnaps: Orela Bar & Restaurant

On a random evening (as usual), M and I went to Orela Bar & Restaurant to have dinner. Orela is one of those cozy places that is rarely busy or pretty much empty and this leaves me wondering because the food is really on point! I first heard about this place from a friend of mine and it was just amusing because I had never actually noticed it was there no matter how many times I drove on the road where it is located. Anyways what did we have right? M – BBQ Beef Ribs and Fries
