Despite the challenges, new restaurants in Lagos opened up. The dining scene in Lagos has been bursting with goodness these past few years and 2020, despite its many setbacks, was not left out.
Before the rapid spread of the coronavirus and the subsequent lockdown that affected restaurants and dining spaces, a couple of restaurants like Turaka and Radish Lagos were opened but didn’t really have the chance to spread their wings and take off before the lockdown began in late March. After the lockdown was lifted, new restaurants had the opportunity to re-launch and were open for dine-in at a 50% capacity on the 14th of August, a development we were thrilled with.
However, with the number of COVID-19 cases rising once again all over the country, the government might once again shut down restaurants for dining in. We hope this doesn’t happen fully because we can’t wait to try these new, exciting restaurants in Lagos. We’ve already visited the gorgeous Cafe De Flore and had only good things to say about it. These are some other places we look forward to visiting soon.
