Restaurant Review: Buttermilk Restaurant

Buttermilk Restaurant Oniru – I took time out and went on a solo date to the newly opened Buttermilk in Oniru. The space was great, it was a bit bigger than the Chevron branch. I would say the ambiance and interior were perfect. I can’t say the same about the food, it wasn’t worth the Lagos stress I encountered.

The space is definitely great for taking pictures and videos for the gram.

MEAL
I ordered the Creamy Chicken Tomato Pasta, but it wasn’t what I expected. There was no cream whatsoever, it was just pasta in tomato sauce. The meal was a bit too salty, but the level of spicy was okay since I wanted it spicy. I didn’t feel like the chicken components were enough – the chicken components were cut too little. The supposed Creamy Chicken Pasta was Al Dente in Tomato paste with scanty chicken components. I am not exactly sure why it’s called creamy chicken tomato pasta.

Heads up, this food only looks good in my gallery, my tummy can’t say the same.

DRINK
I had the feel fresh smoothie, yes, it was delicious. I really enjoyed it, and the ginger in the smoothie hit the right spot.

Overall Experience
The chairs were a bit too low; it wasn’t so comfortable to sit on. They also don’t have desserts on their menu, just milkshakes. I would give the experience a 5/10. The smoothie was my comfort.
