Review: Amoke Oge, Ikoyi

Amoke Oge (Ikoyi, Lagos) 95-59 Moshalashi St, Ikoyi| Phone | Instagram If you’ve been following my page, you’ll know I’ve stopped by different Amoke Oge’s branches recently and they’ve left me utterly disappointed. However, some of my followers suggested I try out Amoke Oge’s Ikoyi/Obalende branch. Their wish is my command, so I did. The space is neat and I prefer it to other branches I’ve visited in the past. MEAL The Amala was smooth and well whipped, but the portion was smaller than their other branches I’ve visited. The stew was tasty and delicious. The Ewedu and Gbegiri were […]

Review: Terra Kulture, VI

Terra Kulture (VI, Lagos) 1376 Tiamiyu Savage Street| Phone | Instagram I’ve visited this place a few times before, but I’m not sure why I haven’t shared it here. The ambiance is truly remarkable, giving the feels of being immersed in nature. The interior design is stunning with meticulously crafted woodwork adding to its aesthetic appeal. The presence of paintings further enhances the beauty of the space. It’s a perfect spot for hangouts or dates, whether you’re alone or with your partner. Additionally, they have an accessible art gallery that adds to the overall experience. MEAL They have an interesting […]

Review: Rubels and Angels, Surulere

Rubels and Angels (Surulere, Lagos) 52 Ogunlana Dr, Surulere| Phone | Instagram I visited Rubels and Angels in Surulere and I think I just discovered one of the most affordable spots in that area. I liked the space, they have lounge specially for people who buy a certain amount of food. The walls are well decorated with inscriptions that are for foodies (lol); the symbols of no bound.   MEAL I must say, their ice cream was a hit, and the burger’s size was truly impressive. However, while the bun was fresh and the burger itself was massive and filling, […]

Abula Spots in Lagos

Abula Spots in Lagos I know it is 2024, but I’ve got more Amala spots to try. You guys suggested I stop by this popular Amala spot in Ojota and I did just that. The space was very clean and well maintained and the staff were extremely friendly. The Amala was perfectly whipped, smooth, and soft. The gbegiri, ewedu, and stew complemented each other equally, and the beef was incredibly tender. The Abula was a banga! I loved every bit of it. WATCH THE REEL HERE 📍: AMALA YAHOO – Bosun Anifowoshe Street, Ojota, Off Olakunle Rd, Lagos Amala (2 […]

breadline cafe

Review: Breadline Café, Ogudu

Breadline Café (Ogudu, Lagos) 38A Ogudu Road| Phone | Instagram This might just be the most affordable breakfast spot on the mainland. I checked out Breadline Café because I heard of their breakfast menu. Their space is quite small and lovely. However, it is mostly packed with people because it’s also a work space and WiFi is available. To use the space to work, there’s a fee of ₦2,500 for 6 hours, I think it is quite reasonable. MEAL This is mainly a breakfast spot. They have snacks like pastries, smoothies, grills, finger food, etc. I had their English Breakfast […]

Review: Ashabi Licking Fingers Food, Ketu

Ashabi Licking Fingers Food (Ketu, Lagos) Aladelola Street, Off Ikosi Road, Ikosi Ketu| Phone | Instagram This is a popular bukka in the streets of Ketu. A couple of you recommended this spot for the best Àbùlà in town, so I decided to check it out. Their space is quite small for the kind of traffic they get. One thing I’ll commend them for-the staff here were really friendly and cheerful MEAL Their space is quite small for the kind of traffic they get. Review: Edaolaropin Food Embassy- Mulika in Oshodi

Edaolaropin Food Embassy- Mulika (Oshodi, Lagos) 1 Agbelekale st, Mafoluku Oshodi| Phone | Instagram While I’m still on the hunt for the best Amala in Lagos, I found a hidden Amala spot on the mainland called Mulika. They had only a few meals ready when I got there, but I had my eyes on Amala because that is the goal. MEAL I got Amala, Ewedu, Assorted meat and Beef, I was set to dive in. The Amala was good, it had a smooth texture with no lumps. The stew was tasty but was missing that spicy kick which didn’t do […]

Some Street Food in Lagos

Street Food in Lagos For my first street food, I stopped by Super Suya, also known as Akerele Suya; a budget friendly Suya spot in surulere. Many claim it’s one of the best in town, so trust me to check it out. It’s not the regular table stand type of suya spot and it’s easy to find because it is just by the road side. Down to it, the attendants are friendly and cheerful and the space is quite clean and comfortable. It’s a grab and go spot; no chairs. I opted for the big Suya stick on their menu […]
