Nigeria’s First Conveyor Belt Dining Experience: Board Bites at Biscuit Bone & Co

Unlike traditional conveyor belt sushi restaurants, Biscuit Bone & Co’s conveyor belt dining experience focuses on board bites — small, curated plates inspired by their charcuterie brand,
Board Lagos.
When I visited Biscuit Bone & Co — the new sibling spot from Toasties and Board; I immediately realized that this wasn’t just another typical Lagos restaurant opening. It’s something completely different from what we’re used to in Lagos, and honestly, even in Nigeria as a whole. My first time seeing the conveyor belt dining experience was at Yo Sushi in London. I mostly see this at the airport and I did some research and most conveyor-belt dining experiences are Sushi-led but not limited to Sushi alone. Examples of other dining experiences like this are Pick & Cheese, which is cheese + other pairings, some conveyor hotpot ingredient bars in China and now charcuterie-style small plates at Board Bites in Lagos

With Biscuit Bone & Co. introducing the first conveyor-belt dining concept in Lagos and Nigeria, the concept is simple — experience small plates and bites paired with your choice of wine. These bites are also available on their Charcuterie boards, hence Board Bites. Watching the plates go by is part of the fun, and each plate is colour-coded: yellow, dark blue, orange, and light blue — each colour has its own price, so you can have multiples of what you like best from the menu options. What I loved most was how relaxed but intentional everything felt. Nothing felt rushed or overwhelming. Even though it’s still a soft-launch menu, with more items to be added eventually, the entire setup already feels well-thought-out and organised.

What We Tried
We sampled a variety of their board bites, and every plate felt carefully curated:
- Hummus flight (pesto, classic, and spicy) served with toasted bread and pita chips
- French onion soup balls
- A seasonal selection of young and aged cheeses
- Cold cut meats
- Stuffed dates
- Honey-glazed figs
We paired everything with a crisp South African Chenin Blanc, and it truly elevated the whole experience. It brought all the flavors together and made the meal feel even more special.
What Stood Out
One thing that really stood out to me was how Biscuit Bone & Co is intentionally championing African and Nigerian-owned brands, while still delivering something that feels modern, playful, and premium. It doesn’t feel forced or performative; it feels genuine. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating an experience that is both meaningful and enjoyable.
Overall Review
Biscuit Bone & Co offers a fresh dining concept that feels fun, social, and different from the usual Lagos restaurant experience. It’s the kind of place you go to when you want more than just food — you want an experience.
Whether you’re planning a date, meeting friends, or simply looking to try something new, this spot is worth checking out. If you’re tired of the same restaurant setups and want something interactive and memorable, this is definitely one to add to your list.
