I made my way to Set Lagos, a new Garden restaurant in Lekki Phase 1 serving Mediterranean inspired and contemporary cuisine, and from the moment I stepped in, I could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. Set Lagos sits right inside the same space as Orile in Lekki Phase 1 and brings something truly fresh to the scene. The experience from start to finish completely wowed me
Set Lagos is a small and open space, but the decor? Beautiful. You can tell they were intentional with every detail. I went at night because they open at 5:00 pm, and the way the lights lit up the space was simply stunning, warm, cozy, and elegant without trying too hard. It’s giving that garden-meets-modern-lounge kind of vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned.
These were yummy! A mix of braised and pulled ram meat with caramelized onions and a yummy sauce that tied it all together perfectly. Tender, flavorful, and not something you come across often
Golden, crispy sautéed tiger prawn chunks with a creamy mayo sauce and a hint of chili oil, this one was bussing! Each bite was crunchy, juicy, and rich
Golden-battered tiger prawns served on a bed of coleslaw, simple but so good. It was another hit at the table, and one we’d easily order again.
I didn’t even know ram ribs were a thing, but I’m glad Set Lagos decided to educate me. This dish was a 7-hour slow-cooked and grilled masterpiece in a sweet and spicy soy glaze. They absolutely delivered.
I absolutely loved this. Tender turkey wings, braised and grilled in a savory, spicy glaze with a touch of chili sauce, perfectly balanced flavours and a satisfying kick.
Listen! The way this mash rolled up on my spoon like I was scooping whipped cream was mind-blowing. So soft, buttery, and silky. The mash was mashing!
My friend went for this one, even after having the Dynamite Prawns for starters. No regrets, though, because it was another solid hit.
My friend had this one and she couldn’t stop talking about how nice and refreshing it was. It had that tropical sweetness from the passion fruit that made it light and easy to enjoy.
Not only did this taste amazing, but it looked beautiful too. It’s one of those drinks you pause to admire before sipping. It had an edible flower situation going on and was a favorite at the table.
A mix of peach purée, bourbon whiskey, and apple juice, smooth, fruity, and dangerously good.
Another passion fruit-based cocktail with lemon juice, pineapple juice, and rum. Fruity, balanced, and absolutely delightful.
Blueberry, vodka, lemon juice, and tonic water. The name had me expecting a strong pour, but it was perfectly balanced, refreshing and light.
This one had main character energy! It even came with a customized orange peel stamped with the restaurant’s name. With that kind of detail, there’s no way it could go wrong. My guess? Probably the founder’s favorite.
Warm, indulgent, and comforting. Sweet cooked apples with raisins and cinnamon, topped with a crunchy buttery crumble and served with real vanilla custard.
This was my favorite, even though it almost burnt my mouth (I definitely underestimated the “lava” part). A rich, hot chocolate cake with poached raspberry, served with vanilla ice cream. It slapped!
Set Lagos delivered, way beyond my expectations. I thought it would just be another addition to the long list of Lagos restaurants, but this one’s an exception. Every single thing we ordered was a hit, from the starters to dessert.
If you’re looking for a beautifully designed space with great food, well-crafted cocktails, and an overall vibe that just feels right, Set Lagos is one to check out. I’ll definitely be back… maybe a little too often. Oops!
