Abuja what’s up?? Foodie in Lagos is here! 🗣 We’re so excited to be in the Buj (Abuja) exploring the restaurants here! Our first stop was Sketch Restaurant Abuja which is located inside the Art Tech District which is a themed park on Hombori Street, Wuse 2, Abuja. Sketch Restaurant is a 2D/3D restaurant in Abuja that also has a branch in Lagos we’ve visited pre-launch. We’ve covered that on our Instagram page so you know we had to do an Abuja Branch review for you.

MAIN

Now let’s talk food! I had the Red Curry Prawns served with a side of Curried Rice and this cost ₦16,200. I must say I was taken aback by just how good this was because I’m so used to restaurants focusing more on aesthetics than the actual quality of the food. The prawns were really tasty, well seasoned, the curry was just the right amount. The sauce that accompanied it was creamy and spicy and they complemented each other well. I’d give this an 8/10 and I’m not just being nice 👌.

DESSERT

I loveeee desserts! I decided to go for a Red Velvet Cake slice and this cost ₦2,500. This was honestly a 10/10, so so delicious, I can still feel my taste buds thank me every time I remember the taste😂 The cake was so fluffy and melted nicely in my mouth, the flavour was sooo rich and decadent! Absolutely loved this, I totally recommend!

The restaurant also has a terrace bar and outdoor seating upstairs.

SUMMARY

I found the food here really impressive. To be honest I was more impressed by the food than the design of the space which is quite unusual for restaurants these days so thumbs up 👍 to Sketch Abuja for that. The service was not bad even though I wish the food came faster than it did as the wait time was a bit long but not too ridiculous. Pricing is a bit on the high side though, my total spend here was ₦24,719 inclusive of VAT. I’d give my experience here an 8/10!
