Review: Aduke Olowosibi, Amala Spot

Aduke Olowosibi – (Gbagada) 11B Kayode Dauda, Ifako Gbagada| Phone | Instagram I haven’t given up on searching for the best amala spot in Lagos. This search took me to Aduke Olowosibi, an Abula spot in Gbagada. Their space is quite decent and neat. Asides amala, they sell other dishes like jollof rice, fried rice, beans, other kinds of swallow,  etc. I was there for the amala though. MEAL I got 2 scoops of Amala with Stew, Ewedu and Gbegiri. My choice of proteins were Beef, Assorted Meat and Goat Meat. The Amala was smooth and I was so sure I was […]

Review: Amoke Oge, Ikoyi

Amoke Oge (Ikoyi, Lagos) 95-59 Moshalashi St, Ikoyi| Phone | Instagram If you’ve been following my page, you’ll know I’ve stopped by different Amoke Oge’s branches recently and they’ve left me utterly disappointed. However, some of my followers suggested I try out Amoke Oge’s Ikoyi/Obalende branch. Their wish is my command, so I did. The space is neat and I prefer it to other branches I’ve visited in the past. MEAL The Amala was smooth and well whipped, but the portion was smaller than their other branches I’ve visited. The stew was tasty and delicious. The Ewedu and Gbegiri were […]

Review: Amala Tax Office, Surulere

Amala Tax Office(Surulere, Lagos) 13/15 Olubunmi Alonge St, Ijesha Tedo| Phone | Instagram I took the advice of a couple of you and decided to try the Abula at this spot. If you visit, be prepared for queues – whether it’s for Amala, gbegiri, stew, ewedu, proteins, or even at the payment counter. MEAL The place is quite cramped and hot, so I don’t recommend dining in. Moving on to what I ordered; the Amala was well made with almost no lump in sight. The stew was quite spicy but not flavorful, it tasted like plain pepper. Overall, it was […]
