I haven’t given up on searching for the best amala spot in Lagos. This search took me to Aduke Olowosibi, an Abula spot in Gbagada. Their space is quite decent and neat. Asides amala, they sell other dishes like jollof rice, fried rice, beans, other kinds of swallow, etc. I was there for the amala though.
MEAL
I got 2 scoops of Amala with Stew, Ewedu and Gbegiri. My choice of proteins were Beef, Assorted Meat and Goat Meat. The Amala was smooth and I was so sure I was about to have one of the best Abula on the mainland. This expectation was shattered when I tasted the stew. It was plain and had no flavor. Both the Gbegiri and Ewedu were thick. The proteins were soft but weren’t tasty also. The stew marred the Abula. It was a flop.
