Another one on the mainland! 🥳 We visited Afefeyeye Restaurant for lunch. This restaurant is more of a bar vibe but it works as the space also has a cinema, a terrace bar and a lounge! All in one space and so uniquely decorated.
I loved the interior design; the vibe was giving traditional but aesthetically pleasing still👌
STARTER
I started off with the Goat meat pepper soup which was a bit spicy🌶 so if you don’t like spicy food, you should let them know. This was so delicious, the meat was really tender and well seasoned and so was the soup, a solid 10/10 from me! My nose was running from all that spicy but I just couldn’t have enough to be honest lol. This cost ₦3,500.
For my main dish, I had the “Asaro Elemi Meje” which is yam pottage. This is really filling, I couldn’t even finish it so I had to take the remainder in a takeaway pack for later. I enjoyed this but not as much as the pepper soup. The pottage could have been richer in my opinion but it was not bad regardless. I like that it was well seasoned but I wish there was more meat in the mix. A 7/10 regardless though🤙🏽. This cost ₦4,000.
DRINK
On the drink! Okay so I’m not sure what happened with my drink…🤔 I ordered a Sex On the Beach but I’m not sure that’s what came because why was it blue? 😒 They probably got my order wrong which was annoying as no one acknowledged it nor apologized. Anyway, I enjoyed the drink, whatever it was lol. I’ll give this a 7/10 and it cost ₦3,000
Total spend here was ₦11,500. I love that the food was really good and affordable. I also love the traditional African theme that the space exudes. However, they need to work on their service and drop these ridiculous restrictions on taking photos and videos 🙄.
