Mainland foodies get in here! We have something for you. So we visited Kuti’s Bistro which is located at Ogundana Street, off Allen, Ikeja, Lagos. The restaurant is a quaint, small, cosy space owned by Yetunde Kuti who is also the head chef. The decor has a nice African feel to it – there are also pictures of Femi and Seun Kuti and other artwork nicely hung around the wall.
On to the food! I went right to the main course as I had already eaten earlier so I didn’t want to order too much. For my main meal, I had the Chef’s Special Kalakuta Show – a battered fish fillet and prawn in a rich hot bell peppers sauce served with special fried rice which cost ₦6,000. The sauce was fantastic and the right amount of spicy. I give this a solid 8/10 👌!
For my drink, I had the freak shake which was actually new on the menu. This cost ₦5,000. This also doubled as a dessert as it came with this delicious waffle topping. This was honestly a 10/10, it was so tasty and filling too! I left Kuti stuffed.
