I am giving up my amala adventure for a while so I can see, eat and experience new things. I am starting with local pastries like fish rolls, sausage rolls, doughnuts, akara, etc.
My first stop was this roadside spot called Akara Terry; I stopped by to satisfy my Akara cravings. They sell Akara, Bread, Fried Yam, Ponmo and Meat. I had akara and bread – Akara Burger. The size of the Akara is okay for the price. It was fluffy and had crunchy edges. It had the right amount of seasoning and wasn’t bland. The bread was very soft and fresh; you know how much I love bread. Both of them combined made for a fantastic and filling breakfast.

The second spot was loaded with varieties of snacks fresh from the pan, they had Puff Puff, Buns, Egg rolls, Fish rolls, Doughnuts and Meat Pie. I got a portion of Puff Puff and one each of every other item. The puff puff were fluffy and sweet, so I enjoyed it hot. Although the dough used for the pastries lacked butter and they attributed it to the economy. The doughnut was hard so I didn’t enjoy that very much. The egg roll thankfully had a full egg and the meat pie and fish roll were good and tasty too.
