Phemans Lagos Summary
Phemans Food Lagos has gained considerable attention online, thanks to its frequent ads and bold presentation of its signature seafood boil. Located in Agungi, Lagos, this restaurant has positioned itself as a go-to spot for seafood lovers looking for a premium experience – at least thats the sense I get from a look at their socials. I visited to try the Seafood Boil at Phemans and here is what I thought
The restaurant maintains a clean look and a sea green theme. It had a comfortable setting suitable for casual dining, but it doesn’t necessarily stand out in terms of decor or overall atmosphere.
It’s functional and pleasant, but not particularly distinctive.
For this visit, I ordered their seafood boil (₦47,000), paired with a side of Cajun noodles (₦3,000). I also tried the passion fruit margarita, which was a refreshing accompaniment to the meal.
If you plan to visit Phemans for their seafood boil, it’s advisable to place your order ahead of time. Despite calling in advance and placing my order at 10:50 AM, I didn’t receive my food until 12:20 PM. The wait time was excessive, especially for a pre-ordered meal.
The service was the standout aspect of my visit. The staff were polite, helpful, and professional throughout, which helped make up for the long wait. Their warm approach contributed positively to the experience.
Phemans Lagos delivers on presentation and service, but the seafood boil may not quite justify its ₦50,000 price tag in terms of flavour and quantity. The Cajun noodles also fell short of expectations. However, the cocktail and service were definite highlights. If you’re curious and don’t mind the price point, it’s worth trying once but with managed expectations.
