I visited Rapa Nui Lagos; a beachfront restaurant located at Sol Oniru at Box Beach with a couple of friends. It’s also a Polynesian restaurant – not sure we have any more of such in Lagos. The space was really beautiful; they had a rooftop and see-through windows. You can see the beach from the restaurant, which is quite picturesque. The interior was simple; white with comfy chairs and huge flower basins.
MEAL
For starters, we ordered Chicken Wings, it came with nutty ranch sauce. We also got calamari and shrimps. The nutty ranch sauce was really good, the wings were well-grilled. It was a 7/10.
The calamari and prawns were well seasoned too and tasted really good.
We had the Wok Polynesian rice; it was nice and perfect when paired with the sauce that came with the calamari and prawns.
DRINKS
We tried different drinks. The fresh orange juice was sweet and refreshing. When we asked for another cup, the person waiting on us said there was nobody to squeeze the orange. She claimed everyone was engaged. We had to press in to get another cup. We also had the Tika Afrika Orange drink, it was served in an Hawaiian themed cup. The drink was good; it was a cocktail, so the gin in it was a bit strong. The last drink which was Tiki Tropical was really tasty.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
Overall Experience is a 7/10. The waitress waiting on us was distracted; it took a while for our orders to arrive, and she was hesitant about moving us to another table. But the food was good.
