G51 Rooftop Lagos (Surulere, Lagos)
51 Akerele Street, Surulere,| Phone | Instagram
G51 Rooftop Lagos is a Lounge in Lagos with branches in Akoka and Surulere. I visited the Surulere branch, honestly, the space was cool. It had the ‘shoot a music video‘ here energy, and it was easy to locate. The Surulere branch opens at 4 pm. Now, to the main deal.
Ambiance of this restaurant is a 6/10 for me.
MAIN
I tried a few things on the menu. First, I had Grilled Fish with French Fries. Then, Jollof rice with a pack of yoghurt. The grilled fish and French fries cost
₦4,500, while the rice cost ₦1,000 naira and the yoghurt was ₦2,000 naira without tax.
Their food wasn’t any different from what I could have made myself, it didn’t have any professional culinary touch. The Fish was over-garnished with grated carrots, onions and cabbage, I consider this unnecessary. Also, the rice wasn’t properly cooked, it had too much spice and tasted plain. The fries weren’t so bad, I will give that a pass. The food only looks good in a gallery.
G51 Rooftop Rice and Fries
Overall, I’d give my experience at G51 Rooftop a 3/10.
The customer service wasn’t commendable. It took forever for my order to arrive. The rice was burnt, and the blame was on the microwave, the staff were unorganized. There was just so much going wrong. I don’t think I would visit the place again. They didn’t have most of the meals on the menu. It wasn’t a memorable experience.
Total spent here was ₦7,500 including yoghurt, excluding VAT
FOODIE IN LAGOS RATING: 3/10
