Heads up, The Grid Restaurant is a 10, but the rain soiled the mood when I went there. I would boldly say I went to one of the hidden gems on the Lagos mainland. The Grid Lagos’ building is with an outdoor space, a corner space properly lighted and decorated to remind you of the Amazon. That’s a classy move.
The Grid also has a main space with a beautiful minimal aesthetic to casually dine, it is a great space for meetings too.
STARTER
I had chicken nuggets with Mayonnaise sauce which cost ₦3,000. The Chicken nuggets were crispy on the outside and tender inside. It is a great starter. Whoosh, it was well-cooked and seasoned. I’ll give this an 8/10.
MAIN
I ordered the Ocean fried rice garnished with veggies, calamari, baby, and queen-size prawns which cost ₦8,000. The food tasted delicious, but my face was frowning when I saw it. It wasn’t plated well, and I couldn’t find even mini prawns as promised in my dish. Overall, it was a delicious dish, and the portion was generous for one. I am still wondering what happened with the Prawns.

DRINK
I went for the fireworks on the beach which cost ₦3,000. I was excited when I read the ingredients of the drink – Orange, Pineapple, Peach extract, Chili, yeah actual chili. This will probably be the best drink for our Yoruba angels 😅, but it didn’t give any sparks -overall, a lovely orange and pineapple juice. A 6/10 for me.
My friend had a Virgin Daiquiri which was alright, but the consistency wasn’t great. Nigerian mixologists are yet to figure out a good Daiquiri.

My overall experience here was a 6/10. It appears to me that they might have a strict no camera/ content creation in the place except paid content creation as one of the staff quoted or the rain soiled their mood in my assumption 🌝.
Total spent was ₦17,300.
