Bira’s place recently open at Alagomeji and I just had to go check it out on this hot wednesday. It was a lengthy stair climb, but I found a mirror before going into the space and that might be a plus for mirror picture lovers. The space was generously decorated with artifical flowers and inscriptions with some drawings. I must mention that it is spacious and there was this part of the space that had ballons and was yet to be open. I would say it was the lounge. Let us get to the good part.

MEAL

I went with a friend so I got the chance to get quite a number of things, the only issue was my friend has a sensitive stomach and we couldn’t try their pastries or swallow. We settled for fried rice, jollof rice, colesaw, moi-moi and barbequed and fried turkey. The turkey were huge and well seasoned, a bit too tough to cut through, but they tasted great. The Jollof rice was a bit too dry and drenched in tomato paste; it could be better as this didn’t hit the spot. The moi-moi was an average, it had an almost whole egg and fish but a bit more seasoning and it would bang. The coleslaw was okay. A bit more adjustment on the dishes and it would be more than a pass. The fried rice was good, it had bits of tiny shrimps and shredded hotdog. A litte news, it tasted better when I heated up later at home.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

I really think there is room to improve and expand. I am rooting for them and hoping adjustments can be made, I do commend their welcoming and cheerful staff; it is a plus. Their sanitary pattern is great too.
