The BlueFin restaurant is a seafood upscale traditional dish restaurant. It is located on the first floor of the leisure mall. There’s no signage on the exterior, but they had staff stationed outside to direct people. I was recording the entryway while walking into the restaurant until a staff inside rushed to stop me from recording. I was told to place an order before the recording, of course, I spoke up as that did not sit well with me.

I went there with the intention to try out their fine dining menu, but I was told that it required a 24-hour reservation. This is stated on the menu, but in very small print so it is easy to miss.

MEAL

I had to opt for Chinese fried rice, barbecue chicken, and strawberry virgin daiquiri. I was served complimentary bread and herb butter while I waited for my food.

Chinese Fried Rice

I was not particularly happy with my meal. It was okay, nothing mind-blowing. I think it needed a little extra oomph to it. I will rate this meal a 4.5/10.

Barbecue Chicken

While I tried to clarify and be sure of what I would get, I ended up slightly disappointed. First, the barbecue chicken was made with chicken breasts, and there was nothing barbecued about it apart from the sauce. It was nice, but again a little extra tweak is needed. I will rate this a 5.5/10.

Strawberry Virgin Daiquiri

This drink was good, and I enjoyed it. I will rate this a 7/10.

Service Delivery

My wait time was about 15 minutes for the drink and about 30 minutes for the meal. The plan of the restaurant is also slightly weird. The way their seating is laid out, if a staff member does not walk by, you will have to get up to get their attention. On my way out, I was asked about my dining experience, and they apologized for what happened earlier. I appreciated that, but I was already drained from dealing with them.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

Anyway, I’ll rate my overall experience at the Bluefin Restaurant a 6/10.
