I had Port Harcourt Bole in Lagos! I was extremely hungry and ordered a meal package from Boleboxx since there is no dine in space. I opted to pick up my order since I was less occupied. They sell roasted plantain, yam and fish popularly known as “Bole”.

MEAL

I got  the “Meal Combo ” which contained one ice fish, 2 fingers of plantain, sauce, ugba, utazi, and onions. I like that they added the local toppings as it made the taste better. The plantain and fish were really tasty and I found myself licking my fingers. The fish was small though.  The sauce stole the show of course! It was well spiced but the oil was a bit too much. It was indeed a delicacy.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

I actually enjoyed my bole. Boleboxx is a family owned business and they were really nice and welcoming. The portion is okay for the price. I’ll definitely stop by more often. The options available are pickup and delivery and they deliver to all parts of Lagos.
