While I’m still on the hunt for the best Amala in Lagos, I found a hidden Amala spot on the mainland called Mulika. They had only a few meals ready when I got there, but I had my eyes on Amala because that is the goal.
MEAL
I got Amala, Ewedu, Assorted meat and Beef, I was set to dive in. The Amala was good, it had a smooth texture with no lumps. The stew was tasty but was missing that spicy kick which didn’t do justice to the meal at all. The Beef was soft, but salty. The assorted meat wasn’t hitting right, it was too bitter for comfort. Maybe if they had Gbegiri, it would have complimented the meal a little bit more.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE
Another underwhelming Amala experience, now I am wondering if the good abula days are behind me. Where can I visit to make up for all of these?
