I decided to check out Loki by Sycamore located at Surulere. The space gives an African like vibe which I liked, there’s a bar area and indoor games. This space would be great for hangouts with friends or family if you’re looking to have fun while eating. By the way, Loki means street, so I was ready to have some street adventure here.

MEAL

Their menu had a lot of options, I ordered for their Lagos jollof with peppered turkey and a bottle of water, somehow I was trying to do an intro before taking on a full adventure, but I guess that would never happen. The jollof rice was well cooked and well spiced, but a little too dry and cold, the turkey was tasty, but also too dry. I think they have a thing for cold and dry meals here, I am guessing it was cold because if they had warmed it up, it would have turned out drier than I had it. I had a lot of expectations, but my experience was underwhelming.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

I like the space and the Africa vibes it gives, the bar is cute for pictures, the staff who attended to me was really friendly. The food was tasty but too dry and cold, I won’t like to experience that again.
