What is life without challenges? Nothing, nothing at all, which was why I took upon myself the challenge to find cheap eats/affordable meal spots in Lagos starting with Ikoyi. To be specific, the goal was to spend ₦5,000 on 3 meals and I was able to get that done. Here’s how.
So, I started with Mr Biggs, it was nostalgic and a bit weird having to eat Mr Biggs at such a pricey rate, but it is what it is. I got a scotch egg and a meat pie for ₦950, it was as tasty as ever. One shut down, unto the next.
The next is Bukka Hut. I got a plate of their jolly pack which cost ₦1,000. Portion-wise, it doesn’t seem too bad, but what about the taste? Surprise, I tried it and it was okay. Great serving and taste. So I walked out of Bukha Hut with Fried rice and Chicken for that affordable amount. This challenge is giving me all the bumps.
INTERLUDE
For those asking if I have been having anything to do or drink, well, I have been drinking water because I’ve been on a water-only challenge (no, don’t give me the side eye, this isn’t about saving money). I have been carrying my water bottle around for weeks and it applies during this challenge.

To number three, I went to 01 Shawarma and I bought a beef single shawarma for ₦1,200. The shawarma was spicy and delicious, it had one sausage and some beef for the price of ₦1,200. I think it was worth it. This Cheap Eats Ikoyi challenge should have been done earlier, or I am in my feelings.
Last on the list, I visited So Fresh and I got the 50cl Pineapple and Watermelon Juice, and I loved it. It was a perfect 4th. I have fallen in love with this Cheap Eats challenge and might not want to stop.
