Orílé has built a reputation for serving rich, well-plated meals that feel like home, only elevated. This was a standout. The pap was light, smooth, and not overpoweringly thick. The akara was golden and soft on the inside, perfectly fried without being greasy. Together, it was an instant 10/10 for us.
This was a creative twist on a classic. The Ewa Agoyin was rich, flavorful, and came with a generous serving of sweet plantains, so generous that every scoop of beans had plantain in it, which we absolutely loved. The highlight? Pairing it with their oven-baked brioche, which added a soft, buttery contrast to the beans.
Shakshouka is oven-baked eggs in a rich tomato concassé, and Orílé’s version was a warm, comforting delight. The eggs were perfectly set, and the sauce had a deep, savory flavor. Served with their signature brioche, it was the kind of meal you’d want to linger over. The brioche was buttery, fluffy, soft & honestly, it practically melted in my mouth.
Not your average sandwich. This came packed with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, grilled chicken, fried eggs, and layered with bold flavors, the kind you don’t expect until you take that first bite. Perfect for a more filling breakfast option. This came with some fries on the side. It’s simple, but done right. The fries were golden and crisp, not overly salty, and importantly not chewy.
We tried two refreshing blends: a cold mix of passion fruit drink and hibiscus, with a lemonade fusion. Both were bright, slightly tangy, and perfectly chilled, just what you want on a Lagos morning.
Orílé is taking the comfort of your home-cooked breakfast and bringing it into a stylish, laid-back space that doesn’t compromise on flavor. Whether you’re craving something traditional like pap and akara or looking to explore new textures with brioche and shakshouka, there’s something here for every kind of foodie.
So if you’re wondering where to have breakfast this Saturday, Orílé might just be your new go-to breakfast plug.
