If you’re on the hunt for where to eat breakfast in Lagos or a new brunch spot to add to your list in Lagos, Piano Bistro & Restaurant in Victoria Island might be worth checking out, just come prepared for a surprise or two (including an ₦8,000 bottle of ‘premium’ water).
I visited Piano Bistro recently with a friend, and what we planned as a simple breakfast turned into a full-blown brunch spread.
Piano Bistro has a calm and elegant vibe—perfect for a quiet breakfast or brunch. The space is cozy with clean interiors and the decor is gold. The space has a large golden-silver grand piano which adds beauty and elegance to the space.
We started with a full English breakfast that came with yogurt, a mini tower of different breads, pastries, and fresh fruits which was honestly so good. The portion was generous, filling, and beautifully presented.
We also tried the buttermilk pancakes, which turned out to be super fluffy and absolutely delicious. No complaints there!

For drinks, we both had the Berrylicious Smoothies. It was thick, fruity, and refreshing – easily our favorite part of the meal.
Something that stood out to us though- they only serve “premium” water options, ranging from ₦5,000 to ₦10,000 with the most expensive being their detox water, which is basically herb-infused water with a few slices of fruit.
In the end, we settled for the Fiji Artesian Still Water at ₦8,000… and best believe we savored every sip.
I had a good time at Piano Bistro & Restaurant Lagos, service was polite and efficient. The staff were also attentive and the food came out on time. However, the bill is a bit confusing and doesn’t reflect the amount on the menu. There is also the exorbitant taxes on dining(VAT, Service Charge, Consumption tax all added up to ₦10,000 extra) so go in prepared.
The food was genuinely good and the ambiance was cozy—perfect for a calm breakfast or brunch date so it’s definitely worth adding to your “Where To Eat Breakfast In Lagos” list. But the surprise charges (like that ₦8k water) are worth keeping in mind if you’re on a budget.
Pro Tip: They have a dress code, so do yourself a favor and check ahead before heading over.
