Seun’s BBQ is a grab-and-go restaurant in Yaba, Lagos. I know what you are thinking. “Why always Yaba?” It is safe to say Yaba has the most decent cheap eats in Lagos, and our job is to fish them out. This spot offers ready-made food that’s perfect for those on the move. Today, we’ll be sharing our experience dining at Seun’s BBQ and giving you the lowdown on what to expect when you visit.
MEAL
You might be wondering why it’s called “Seun’s BBQ” when their menu mainly consists of fried proteins. That’s a valid question, and we were curious too. We decided to try out their Suya Rice paired with Turkey and a pack of Spaghetti with Turkey.
The Suya rice had a nice and tasty flavor which was satisfying. It was a good portion size for a quick meal on the go. The Spaghetti, on the other hand, was decent and had delicious sausage in it. However, we did notice that the Turkey had a slightly bitter taste, likely due to being slightly burnt. It was a bit disappointing, considering it’s the centerpiece of the dishes.
One thing to keep in mind is that Seun’s BBQ is designed as a grab-and-go spot, which means there’s no seating area. So, if you’re looking for a place to sit down and enjoy your meal, this may not be the right choice. But if you’re in a hurry or prefer to eat on the go, it’s perfect.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
The overall experience at Seun’s BBQ was satisfactory. The waiting staff were swift and welcoming, making the ordering process quick and easy. However, there is room for improvement when it comes to hygiene. It’s essential for any food establishment to maintain high standards of cleanliness, especially in a grab-and-go setup.
