The Shed Restaurant (Lekki, Lagos)
The Shed is a gorgeous restaurant located in Lekki. The space has lighting that seems Moroccan and an ambiance that looks like a combination of all sorts of trial and error; it could pass as a mix of industrialist design and other things I can’t place.
Reservations are required to dine in, but they wouldn’t turn back walk-in customers as long as they have an available table.
The restaurant was empty when I and my friends visited. But they had an illusionist in-house Magic Whizz, who acted out a few tricks. He was quite good, so it was a great watch.
MEAL
HOT STARTER
The menu was a QR code. While I was trying to order, the waiter kept telling me I couldn’t order food without a drink and that the service charge is 17.5%. Okay, I get it, but rest, lol. There weren’t a lot of starters on the menu, so I settled for one of the Hot Starters – The Crispy Dou. It was a Crispy duo of baby squid and prawns on a bed of virgin sauce. It tasted okay, except the calamari wasn’t fresh. The Crispy Dou was a 5/10 for me.

COMPLIMENTARY APPETIZER
While I waited for my main meal, I got a complimentary appetizer of Chili Tacos. It was not too bad. I give it a 6/10.

MAIN
For my main, I had the Duck Breast. It was slow-roasted Duck breast with spicy honey & crunchy potato purée with celery and orange sauce. I asked for it to be medium cooked, but it was well done when it arrived. I didn’t mind that. It was tasty and was like a lumpy mash style. Duck
DESSERT
For dessert, I ordered the passionate mango cheesecake; I loved it. It was the highlight for me. The portion was good, even though the price was on the high side.
For the drink, I had a lemongrass cocktail. It didn’t taste any lemon grass, but I loved it. It was super good and strong.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
My overall experience here is a 7/1o. It is not a bad dining experience, except the pricing is on the high side. I actually think its one of the decent restaurants in Lekki
